Create a New Project

Tap on “New Project” to begin a new editing section. You can select the aspect ratio for your intended platform, e.g. TikTok, Instagram.

Import Media

Press the “Import” icon in the toolbar to add a video, photo or a piece of music from your collection to your project. You can also import media files by dragging and dropping them onto the interface.

Trim and Split

Choose the video on the timeline, drag the slider to the place you want to cut, and click the “Split” button to split a video into parts. You can use hotkeys for example “B” to use the split tool, and “Q” to delete the content on the left.

Add Effects and Transitions

Choose the relevant options to apply effects and transitions to your video. Try using the various filters, animations, and creative transitions to enhance the look of your video.

Export

When the editing of your video is finished, you can click “Export” button to export the video to the resolution and format you want. You can export CapCut videos in different resolutions, it supports up to 4K.
