Basic Use of Google Search

Search keywords for information, put phrases in quotation marks to find them exactly as written. Place a minus sign before a word that you want to exclude from your search results. Search for variations of a word or phrase by using asterisks.

Google Advanced Search

Go to Google search page and press on the Settings icon. You can use the search option (advanced search) to filter your searches. Limit your search results by language, region, file type etc.

Manage Security and Privacy Settings

You have to enable two-step verification to keep your account secure in your Google account settings. Make sure you monitor your account activity log to check for an account compromise. You are already aware that, the mobile app is read-only, it cannot update your data, so make sure to check out the google account privacy settings and manage how they collect your data and make use of it.
